A template is an exact replica of the required granite worktops/products. Taking all accurate measurements of the site including kitchen units and cut outs of sinks and hobs, if required. At this stage we will advise you of any additional recommended work, such as reinforcing units, levelling, site preparation and site access and discuss any additional requirements you may have e.g. drainer flutes, special edging etc. Beware of some companies who claim that it is not necessary to template before fitting who then proceed to cut on site using mobile equipment on installation day. Using hand held cutters and polishers can often require walls to be chiselled and granite rear edges to be scribed in order to install the worktop, this can result in a poor finish and a lot of dust, noise and disruption. A top quality granite worktop when finished to a high standard requires accurate templating prior to installation with all cutting and polished performed offsite using the latest precision machinery, ensuring a perfect fit and excellent finish.
